Ipshita Chatterjee

I’m a product designer and engineer, currently designing financial products at JP Morgan Chase. I craft elegant interfaces and build them with code—bridging design and engineering to ship real products that millions use.

01 Work

I’ve worked with JP Morgan Chase and EY Studio+ among others in a variety of complex projects. Below are a few case studies on the work that I have accomplished

Broadband labels for Comcast Business

In early 2023, new FCC regulations required all internet service providers to display “broadband nutrition labels”. I worked with Comcast Business as a consultant from EY Studio+ in this two year long engagement.

02 Reading

Aside from working, I enjoy reading whenever I get a spare moment. This year, I aim to read at least 30 books.

03 About me

I'm Ipshita—a product designer who codes.

Person with iPad

I started my career as an iOS developer at Infosys, fresh out of my B.Tech in Computer Science. But somewhere between debugging code and shipping features, I discovered something: I was more excited about why we were building something than how we were building it.

My leaders noticed too. They started pulling me into UX projects, and I found my sweet spot—designing experiences that actually worked in the real world. When my contributions helped scale our products, I knew this wasn't just something I enjoyed, it was something I was naturally good at. So I made the shift, landing my first dedicated UX role at UXReactor.

What makes me different?

I bridge gaps. Developers appreciate that I understand their constraints and speak their language. Product managers value that I can think strategically about roadmaps and priorities. Content teams feel at ease because I can craft the words alongside the interfaces.

And my time consulting at EY taught me how to parachute into complex domains, make sense of the chaos, and adapt quickly. People tell me I'm easy to collaborate with, and honestly, that's the part of the job I love most.

Design isn't a solo sport, and I thrive when I'm working alongside smart people solving hard problems together.

Right now?

I'm designing products that need both strategic thinking and hands-on craft at JP Morgan Chase. If you're looking for someone who can hold their own in a strategy meeting and then jump into Figma (or code) to bring ideas to life, let's talk.
